SEARCHING FOR FOSTER/ADOPTER! Rusty has something to say... 'Hi, I'm Rusty! I'm a medium sized love bug! I haven't had the easiest life so far. I was living on the streets fending for myself for some time. Suddenly I found myself contained to the barn of an overcrowded shelter in June, 2017. It wasn't until the nice people of Double Dog Dare Rescue pulled me into the rescue, was I given a second chance of finding happiness. It has been tough for me adapting to all of these changes. I'm hoping there is a patient person out there willing to welcome me into their home, either as a foster or a permanent addition to their family. I've been a bit anxious with all of the changes, so I'm hoping to find some stability. I am a sweet boy who just needs a little bit of guidance because I've missed out on a lot of the great things life has to offer. A foster/adoptive home with a flexible schedule or home often would be helpful with my adjustment. I would do best in a home with either no other dogs or perhaps one other. Since I never learned how to appropriately interact with other dogs, I would need a proper introduction. I worked with a trainer recently who told me I am very handsome and smart. We worked on recall and redirecting my attention to her instead of scary things that may make me nervous. I did a great job and just love being praised!
