Bengie came to us walking in a cowered position which we thought was from fear. Turns out Bengie suffered and injury to his pelvis and hip, possibly from a car accident. We were able to get Bengie the surgery he needed in which they repaired his left hind leg. At first this little guy was in quite a bit of pain, but even then he was nothing but sweet. Bengie is doing so well now and almost pain free. He is currently receiving therapy to get him used to using his leg again, but the leg doesn't stop him from being an active little guy. His tail is always wagging and he loves when his humans are home. He is very food motivated and learns quickly. He loves to be around other dogs and is a playful little guy, though unfortunately I have to keep him away from doggy playtime since I worry he may get hurt. He gets around without a problem and gets up and down steps well too. He's putting a little weight on his leg when going up stairs which is a good start. He is house trained and crate trained. He will happily go into his crate when you throw a treat in, and is quiet. He sleeps through the night and doesn't make a peep. The only time he barks is when he is excited to see you when you get home, and right when you leave as he wants you to come back. He is such a sweet boy who will follow you around the house because he just wants to be with you all the time.
