About Abby-Miss Congeniality

Adoption Fee: $150
Beagle
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

A big Texas howdy to you! My name is Abby, and I'm a playful, friendly, outgoing, and affectionate 20-pound Beagle (no papers) gal who was born about March 2015. I love people, kids, and other dogs, but, as much as I hate to admit it, I chase cats. (Hey, what do you expect from a 'hound dog' who was bred to chase foxes and rabbits?) Just call me 'Miss Congeniality' because I'm the first to greet my humans at the front door when they come home. Beagles are described as 'alert, joyful, and even-tempered,' and I'm no exception! I'm an outdoorsy girl who loves basking in the sunshine on warm spring days, running around the fenced yard, and playing with my doggie toys. My foster mom doesn't walk me because I've never figured out the whole leash routine. However, since I love being outside, I'm sure that I could learn to walk on a leash with some time and patience from my adopter. I would probably love anticipating my daily brisk walk or outing to the dog park. I'm very grateful to my foster mom because she rescued me as a stray wandering down the 610 Loop feeder road. Boy, was I happy to kiss my hardscrabble days good-bye! I immediately embraced a cushy indoor life with brimming food and water bowls, my very own doggie bed, two friendly resident dogs to play with, and loving humans to snuggle with. But I realize that a home of my very own would be best for me because I have so much love to give my new family. There are a lot of households in which I'd fit like a glove, so if Beagles make your heart skip a beat, I hope that you'll arrange to meet me right away. We could have a blast playing outside by day and snuggling together after dark! Abby is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Her adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Abby, and we can arrange for you to meet her. Since Abby gets carsick, she needs to be adopted within the metro Houston area. To adopt one of our dogs, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, download the adoption application at http://www.bustersfriends.org/dogadoptionapplication.shtml. First save and then open it; then you can print it and fill it out.
