About Denali

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Hi friends! Are you looking for an active lover boy to call your BFF for life? My name is Denali, and I am a stunning 11-month-old husky who is looking for a forever home to call my own. I have an attention-grabbing red and white coat, and you won't be able to resist my striking baby blue eyes! I am 60 pounds of pure love and personality! And best of all? I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation! My rescue friends saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control, where my previous owners brought me when they could no longer take care of me. I am a big, silly baby and will be the life of the party and your home! Like most huskies, I have quite a bit of energy to work with and love to romp and play in the yard so a fenced yard at my forever home would be awesome! I also greatly enjoy long walks and would love an active human who would enjoy exploring with me. I get along with other dogs in public settings and enjoy playing with them, but in my forever home I want to be your one and only canine companion, please, as I can be a bit bossy and don't like to share my toys or your attention with other furry friends. Given my energy and play style, I would also prefer a home without young children that I might accidentally bump over. When I am all worn out from our fun, I like to chill out on the couch for some quality snuggle time. I have some pretty great manners and am a very smart boy who learns more all the time! I am potty and crate trained, and will rest in my personal doggie den for up to eight hours while my foster parents are at work. Of course, when they get home, I like to get silly and burn my energy with a long walk or jog in the yard! I am starting to learn a few commands, including sit, and would love to learn even more. Since I am a young guy, Fetching Tails Foundation will require my adopters to sign me up for training classes so we can start our new lives together on the right foot! I think that sounds like loads of fun and I can't wait to see how much we learn!
