About Rolo

Rolo is 6 months old, not yet neutered. He currently weighs 60 pounds. Rolo has a rare condition called hyperostosis calvarial syndrome; the skull is thickened, in his case around the cerebellum. He has some mild impairment from this; some balance and gait issues. He falls down somewhat easily and his gait is awkward. This is not expected to get worse, but also not to improve. He gets around fine, can do stairs, plays with the dog in the foster home. But he will have some mild limitations for life. He also has osteochondritis dessicans of both shoulders, and will have a scope done soon, and removal of any loose cartilage. That will solve that problem permanently. He is very mellow tempered, plays great with the 20 pound dog in the foster home, is gentle with the 9 month old grandson. Has ignored the neighbors barn cats that wander over. He is house trained and crate trained. He is totally lovable and sweet. He has had no training, and at 6 months of age this puts him behind. He must go to a home with good solid dog experience, people who are ready to dive into the training. A distance adoption will be considered for a great home, but you must be able to drive to Great Falls, MT, where the dog is located.
