About Rosie

Adoption Fee: $295
Lab mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Rosie! Rosie is a loving Shepherd/Lab mix, approximately 10 weeks old, and almost 10 lbs. She goes in her crate to sleep and wakes a couple of times a night to be let outside (she's getting better at sleeping through the night). She hasn't been left alone for more than 2 hours, but does really well in her crate for small periods of time. She hasn't had any accidents in her crate! She's working on potty training throughout the day and doing so well. She'll usually whine to let you know she has to go outside. Rosie gets excited any time she sees other dogs, she loves them! While being fostered, she spends her time with a 4 yr. old and they love to play with one another. She's still learning not to nibble and bite. We redirect with toys. She LOVES chew toys. Rosie has bursts of energy where she's ready to jump, run, and play! She loves running around a big yard to find and play with sticks 10x her size. She also likes to spend a lot of her time curled up on some blankets and taking naps. She truly is a sweetheart and such a cutie. A quick learner too! She loves attention, cuddles, naps, and to play outside. She's the perfect combination. She's totally an all-star puppy. We love Rosie! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
