About Jack

Adoption Fee: $300
Great Pyrenees / Australian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

I'm a Whole Lot of Love! Jack was born in 2014 and weighs about 85 lbs. He's very fluffy, but still there is a lot of dog under there! He has grown up on a farm and is wonderful with horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, and cats. He is also wonderful with kids, but is pretty bouncy so may knock over the little ones. He has been loved and cared for and has been fed 4 Health grain free. He did come in with his sister and they've done well together, but we are not trying to place them together (that is a LOT of dog!) but we will want to place him in a home with another dog that will be his new buddy. Just like us humans we can't always live with whom we choose for our lifetime, but we can find another to love. Jack is crate trained and is used to a fenced in yard which we truly feel needs to be in his future. One reason is that when a car is coming toward him he simply doesn't move out of the way, maybe he thinks it will mean a ride if he stand there? He is very affectionate and loyal, adores his humans and knows 'paw' to shake hands. He might try to jump up on you, but understands correction and he needs watching in the home, and further training, as he may try to mark. They are here because a contractor made an error that caused the house to have to be condemned and his human mom had to move into an apartment with a friend. Such a sad situation for the pets, but we were glad that we had the ability to help the canines and know we'll be able to find new homes soon.
