About Radish

Adoption Fee: $400.00
Pit Bull / Boxer
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

What a face on our Radish! We can't help but a crack a smile whenever we gaze on our lovely Bully girl. She appears to be a creative mix of red nose American Pitbull Terrier and Boxer. The Boxer influence is obvious in her leggy stance, head shape and jowly continence. Radish came to us from NYC ACC, after she had been picked up in Brooklyn, New York, as a city stray. In a hostile shelter environment, where many dogs succumb to fear and nervousness, Radish was a shining star. She braved her way through the intake process with a goofy grin on her face, and received rave behavior evaluations. Radish is a real family dog. She loves children and behaves like a protective mama. She has had a lot of experience at that! Radish is another of our 'throwaway mamas' and has had had numerous litters in her young 5 years. She is so over it, and ready to move on to a bright future. Now that Radish has joined our foster home, she has quickly become a favorite, and has earned full house privileges in very short order. Radish has excellent house manners and has assimilated nicely with all types of dogs, small to large. She has a calm, but playful energy that other dogs like. Radish is one of those rare Rescue dogs who could fit into just about any home. She would fit into the lifestyle of a calm, laid back single or couple, who enjoy the process of helping a Rescue dog. And, she would be a good choice for first time dog owners, who love the bully breeds, or families with older kids. Radish is an extremely gentle dog and could likely get along with cats. Radish has excellent house manners. She does not bark much, but will alert to door bells and UPS guys. She is an alert watchdog, and can be protective, but then, has been taught to back off, and greet strangers warmly, without rushing the door. Radish is extremely well socialized and makes friends wherever she goes. Radish is housetrained and crate trained, so adopters will have the option to use a crate, as they acclimate Radish to her new potty routine. She is in excellent health and has been spayed. She has been vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella and influenza. She has been de-wormed and has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
