Maggie came to us in 2012 from a farm. She had about 50 ticks (which my wife removed that night), mange, malnourished, and a tape worm. All conditions were remedied within a week except for her weight which took a little longer. She looks like she has no tail in her picture because we couldn't get her to stop wagging it. She has had all her shots and is docoumented. She loves people, other dogs and and is loved by the neighborhood kids.. She is healthy, mild mannered and very laid back. She helped us raise Harold Carolina Finch with patience and in a motherly way. She likes to take walks, run free when she can and chew on bones, antlers and hooves.. She does not do well with cats or other furry animals which is what got her in trouble with Forsyth County (N.C.) Animal Control. She killed a neighbors cat and has been labeled a dangerous dog. She is not at all aggressive except to get petted and loved. She can go separately or with Harold. We think she could adapt to any environment. We are heartbroken and trying to do whatever it takes to keep her from being put down.
