About CANDY

SAY HELLO TO CANDY! Candy is an adorable 2 year old Shih Tzu / Yorkie mix girl. Weighing in at just 15 pounds, this little dynamo is feisty and full of personality! Candy rides well in the car, however likes to pull when she walks on her leash and boy, she can walk for a long period of time! �%81� She likes to play with toys and balls and will run after them and is learning to retrieve. She doesn't know any command except 'no'. Candy would do best as an only dog or with a gentle male who is her size and age and doesn't mind her being the boss. Candy is easy to please as she just likes to stay near her person, play with her toys and hang out. She will snuggle real close to you and likes having dog beds to lay in. She was easy to crate however after a 10 minute kennel trial, she barked for 7 minutes then laid down and played with her toys. Candy needs work with her housetraining, however she is very smart and very eager to please. She will require a family who will provide gentle guidance to show her their routine of where things are done and what she is to do. Her ideal family will be one that has adults or adults with older teens who will understand and respect her small size, so no families with infants, toddlers or small kids will be considered. Candy is a longer coated breed, so weekly brushing as well as a professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks will be required. Candy's adoption fee includes her Veterinarian Wellness Visit upon intake into our rescue, her spay, de-worming, all vaccinations including Rabies and Bordatella, microchip with lifetime registry and professional grooming.
