Phil is the onliest pup left from the rugrat pack, but through no fault of his own. Honestly? He is probably the sweetest and cuddliest of the litter we had the privilege of rescuing. We are not 100% positive on his mix but we are fairly certain they have Wirehaired Dachshund, Parson Russell Terrier, and possibly Poodle. Basically, he is your purebred mutt that is full of brains, fun, love, and affection. Phil is about four months old now and will probably be close to 20 pounds when full grown. He is smart, learns very quickly, and truly wants to please his people. He is crate trained, as good as housetrained, and will be great in a home with kids, cats and other dogs. He does get a little car sick, but doesn't mind riding in a car. If you would like to meet and potentially adopt Phil, please read on or go directly to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
