Hi there! My name is Roxanne, and I'm a beautiful, sweet, playful, gentle 53-pound mostly white with brindle spots American Staffordshire Terrier/ Boxer mix gal who was born about January 2017. I love to play with people and other dogs but not particularly with toys. The inside room for doggie day care is too small for me to play in, but I love romping outside in the fenced yard with other dogs my size. I'm getting some one-on-one training, and so far I walk great with my trainer but not so perfectly if anyone else walks me. We're working on that! And I'm well behaved. My trainer loves how gently I take the treats from him. I was found tied up in front of a dog grooming salon where the proprietor has a reputation for being softhearted about stray dogs and being instrumental in helping many dogs over the years to find good homes. Both rescue vets think that I'm a young girl, even though my incisors are worn down -- perhaps from chewing on a cage or crate. Judging by my condition when I arrived, I'd either been neglected by my family or been a stray for awhile. I love it here where there's plenty of groceries and brimming water bowls, other dogs to play with, and nice humans to love on me. But I realize that a home of my very own would be best. I haven't been tested yet around kids or cats because - for Pete's sake -- I'm at a dog grooming salon! But I'm anxious to give puppy kisses to anyone who thinks I'm gorgeous! Come by to meet me today! Roxanne is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, and microchipped. She tested heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment, the cost of which Buster's Friends will assume. Her adoption fee is $200, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Roxanne, and we can arrange for you to meet her.
