Adoption Fee: $625
Chihuahua mix
Age: Puppy

* Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Fergie! Fergie is an red long-hairded Chihuaha mix and looks a bit like a baby fox. She is 18-months old and 5 pounds. She is very sweet, playful and loving, however, a bit timid at first. Once comfortable, she becomes your shadow and loyal companion. She loves to snuggle up next to you at night and put her head on your shoulder - which is so endearing. Fergie's adoption fee is $625. Fergie loves to play with other dogs her size and learning about our rain - she is a California girl. She is loving her new life with a full tummy, a warm bed and as much love as she wants. We are looking for a home that can continue this level of care and watch her blossom. Fergie will require a fully fenced yard. Fences help protect rescue dogs and establish boundaries. She is being fostered with dogs her size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend, however, in the right situation, she would also be happy as an only dog. Fergie is still on a weight gain diet, will need a grain-free diet to keep her healthy and coat beautiful. She has a soft mid-length coat, and mildly sheds. She is pretty much a 'wash and wear' dog - very little grooming is required. We highly recommend training classes will be required. This will create a stronger bond for between you and Fergie, and will also ensure that she has manners to make you proud. Fergie is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Fergie should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.
