About Van

Van is one amazing little puppy. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He was kept in a crate/cage for his first 7 months until ASF got him. This means that everything in the world is new for him and he came to us very afraid and unsure. He has since blossomed and loves to play with other dogs, people and to get attention from his humans. He is one of the worlds best cuddlers he loves to sit with me and get his back scratched and for me to talk to him. When he's happy his whole body wiggles. Because he has so little experience with people other than us it would be important that anyone wanting to adopt him be close enough that they could come meet him a few times before he goes home with them. A long distance adoption won't work since he would need to meet his adopter several times to be comfortable leaving with them. He knows down, come, no and off and is working on sit , leave it and drop. He is super smart and eager to please so will learn quickly once he's comfortable. He is good with other dogs and cats and would do best in a home with at least one other dog and people who are home more often than not. He rides amazing in a car and loves to be copilot and look out the window. He walks well on a leash but is still learning about the outside world so as much exposure as possible would be good to help him learn about the world.
