Gus is a beautiful, huge male pure bred Maine Coon. When he went into rescue when his Daddy died they clipped his ear. He is very healthy. He needs a man (pref) or couple with NO other cats or animals and lots of patience and attention. He is very timid and shy. I adopted Gus 7/17 from a foster parent who was also keeping a high energy dog and a cat. Gus was terrified of the dog. He was good with the foster, but squirmy. I did not know he was from a one cat household, I had two special needs. My Burmese gets along with any cat, but Gus. I rescued Gus from a first day scrap and ever since he has been impossible to get to be able to handle, groom, etc. My Burmese is now suffering due to food issues. Gus had lost a lot of weight when I got him. I had a full vet workup done, all shots, heart worm and worming done. He weighs about 25# (his normal weight he always carried), very big, strong cat. I need to find a home for him, he gets along with couples but must have a man in house. He was an only cat (I learned later) with an older daddy who passed away when Gus was 12 and Gus has never adjusted to a woman only house. I am recovering from surgery and can not handle him or take care of him as he needs since he will not let me hardly get near him. I need to find a home for him asap.
