Sweet baby doll Noel was hit by a car, yes hit by a car. This 10.5lb 2 year old poodle mix sat in a kill shelter in CA with no one coming to help her. We found out about her and got her out immediately. She went to our vets where it was determined she had a fractured femur and needed a major surgery. Noel is the sweetest little lady with the most piercing eyes. Once she knows you and trusts you, you are her everything. For this poor sweetie to need this major operation - it was heartbreaking. Noel received the operation and had to have large pins placed her back end. Originally she needed 8 weeks cage rest, and then she needed another 4 to heal. Every few weeks she needed to receive x-rays to check on her healing. Her operation alone cost $2600, and that was without her other medical care needed. When she was healed she needed to be spayed, chipped, get a dental done, plus more meds etc. Noel was given the go ahead to get the remainder of her medical taken care of and had the pins removed. She is now spayed, had a dental, chipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & looking for her forever home. We will only will be accepting applications for Noel with other dogs present in the home & it does not matter the size of the dog as she loves all sizes of dogs & loves, loves to play with them. She takes a little while to warm up to new people at first but once she does she is a love bug! She likes to snuggle with you. She loves soft beds, and when she wants a break she will go do her own thing. Noel has been with older children who are respectful to animals, no idea about cats. She needs a home where people are going to be there during the day. She goes potty on pee pads and outside, but her people will need to continue to work with her on potty training and other training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Noel and going through our process of your references being checked, a phone interview and a home visit followed with a meet & greet if it's a good fit with our discretion. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life.
