About Wonka

Wonka has been with our family for the past 2 months. Everything has been going well with his transition with us, however, he and our senior dog as time goes by do not get along. Initially they were very happy with one another, but as time went by we began to see that they do not get along and it is something that could not be corrected through training. We have worked very hard with Wonka to train with signs, as he is deaf. He is an incredibly smart dog and has lots of love to give, but we firmly believe that he needs to be an ONLY pet. He is 1.5 years old, Australian Shepherd breed, he is completely deaf, and has blue eyes. He is neutered, microchipped, and has been trained with signs and vibration collar. His demeanor is incredibly loving and happy. He loves to run and is VERY energetic! He loves to play fetch and is a great snuggler. Please help us find him a better suited, only pet home. His new family MUST know that he is a special needs dog and be willing to work with him. He is truly wonderful and we are sad to part ways, but he is not a good fit for our family.
