About Shane

Chihuahua / Pomeranian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hi! My name is Shane and I am thought to be a 1-year old Chihuahua/Spaniel mix. I weigh 14lbs of pure sweetness! I was found as a local stray and really hope to find my forever people soon! I love other dogs and currently live with several others around my size. I also love to run and play outside! I will entertain myself out in the yard or play with my people and dog friends. I love to go on leash walks, but am really excited! My foster family says that I pull on the leash, but I can't help it! There is so much fun stuff outside! I am housebroken and will tug on my foster Mom's pants leg to tell her that I want to go outside. I sleep in my crate at night, but will whine for the first few minutes before I settle in. Although I am very sweet and loving, I should be adopted by a family who will bring my to doggie obedience classes to work on learning basic commands and manners. I also need to work on my fear of strangers. I warm up to women quickly and am very loving with my people, but new people coming into my house is scary. If you can help me work on this, I will love you even more! I am neutered, up to date on all of my vaccines, and ready for my new home! If you are interested in finding out more about Shane, please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://www.brokentailrescue.org/adoption-application/ Shane is being fostered in Winchendon and the adoption fee is $350. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
