Hello, Miss EMMA here !! This is an update to a previous post that was put out on my behalf, as I continue my search for an adoptive HOME. I have received many emails of interest; so many that our Director was unable to keep up with them! We are grateful for all of your interest and concern, and apologize for the delay in getting back to you. My journey has been one of adjustment. It was very hard on me, to lose the one and only owner I ever knew. The trip north from my native state of Arkansas to my new state of New Jersey was a long one. It took awhile for me to feel like my doggie-self again. Now that more is known about my needs, I am putting 'pen to paw' today to help Schultz Senior Dachshund Sanctuary/Rescue to find the right home for me. 1). I need someone home more than not; a retired person or someone who works from home would be perfect for me. 2). I need to remain local to the Lambertville, NJ/New Hope, PA area. Within 30 minutes of either location would be best; that way, a helpful 'eye' can be kept on my adjustment by the rescue group. Those area zip codes are 08530 and 18938. 3). I have been monitored for a medical condition that requires an inexpensive medication given twice a day. I receive it in my food, and am a very good girl about taking it. It is not at all expensive, but if you don't want to do this, you should not inquire for me. I will also need to be checked on once in awhile by a veterinarian to make sure this medication is at an appropriate level. OK--I sure hope you like my updated photo; I am looking SO much better now that I have been receiving such tender loving care! Please only email if you fit the above descriptive needs.
