About NELLIE

She does not have a mean bone in her body, even when being restrained. She is very sweet but very timid and timid around new people and some noises startle her easily. She has absolutely zero aggression. She does have very strong flight and escape behaviors. She is actually housebroken and is not destructive indoors or outdoors. She does like to take shoes, door mats and things left outside on the porch. She takes them usually to one particular spot in the yard. She is very good with food and gets along well with our old dachshund, even at meal time. Our dachshund will actually eat her food if allowed when feeding together. She is making progress on leash for walks and in neighborhood. Nellie was rescue while the owner was on a camping trip in wilderness country on a camping trip. Probably left on purpose by a hunter. A practice many hunters do if the dog is not a good dog for hunting or does not want to feed when it is not hunting season. Nellie weighs 40 pounds.
