About Knuckles

This adorably, affectionate, jubilantly joyous, effervescent eager to please,wiggly well-behaved playfully puppy-like boy is Knuckles. Knuckles is a 45lb three-ish year-old male Pit bull terrier. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He walks well on leash wearing a harness or a training slip-lead. Knuckles knows: Sit, Shake, Wait and Crate. Knuckles arrived with itchy skin and ear-infections likely due to allergies; which are being managed with a good-quality diet, weekly baths and daily medication. Knuckles is being fostered in a home with another dog and they get along very well together. He enjoys playing and sleeping with her. Although he is house-trained Knuckles is crated when left alone. His foster people believe he would be fine with free roam under most circumstances, after a brief period of adjustment. Knuckles does not live with cats or other small animals and has not been 'tested,' but, seems interested when he sees them outside. He also does not live with children, but meets them in the neighborhood and is fine when they stop to pet him. Knuckles loves to watch out the window when he is indoors. He is full of personality and enjoys communicating with a variety of sounds. If you talk to him and ask him questions, he will 'talk' back in reply. Knuckles' happiness is contagious-watching him flip in mid-air, toss his toys and blanket, and flop onto his back, rolling and wiggling all the while talking to you-it is impossible not to smile and laugh. Knuckles soaks up human attention like one savors a very fine meal, with pleasure. He especially enjoys having his butt rubbed-his hind quarters lower to the ground with his head raised as if he is practicing a yoga pose-like he is 'melting' into the floor. Knuckles is a very social dog who would thrive in a home with another dog to play with or with a person or family that would provide him lots of love and attention.
