About Lana

If her ad is still available, we are still accepting applications. Meet Lana, again! Maybe the second time will be the charm. This sweet girl found herself in our program as an unclaimed stray. She is a Border Collie / Cattledog mix that is around a year old. She weighs about 42 pounds. Lana is very friendly and has loved everyone she meets. She occasionally is shy of certain men and hangs back a bit before she is comfortable. Lana would be fine around gentle children. Her favorite thing to do in a yard is to run and she is fast! Lana loves to carry toys around and likes the idea of fetch but seldom returns the ball. Lana knows some commands and walks well on leash. Lana would be best as an only dog. She is friendly at first and likes to play chase with other dogs but in a one on one situation, she prefers to be Queen Bee and will not back down in a scuffle. She is housetrained and crate trained. We do not recommend kitties in her forever home. We aren't sure, but guess she would pester them in herding dog fashion. Lana would most enjoy a home with a fenced yard or a situation where she has access to a fenced area to run and burn off energy. Lana does quickly settle in home and will relax and hang with her humans when it's time to be low key. Lana is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
