About Chaz

Adoption Fee: $250
Catahoula / Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Chaz is a handsome, snuggly sweet, gentle and loving, two-year-old, 58-pound, male, chocolate and vanilla Catahoula/Border Collie-mix with warm brown eyes looking for a loving guardian. Chaz is full of kisses and tails wags for all the people and dogs he meets. In the home, he likes to be nearby and touching you at all times. As I type this, his paws are lightly touching my arm as he snores. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats and children. He loves going for walks, sleeping in bed with his family, and is great in the car. He is housebroken, non-destructive and quietly crate-trained. He loves to play fetch and chase other dogs around the yard. In the home, he's happy to snuggle up on the couch and follow you from room to room. He really is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. He has learned to sit on command and is looking forward to learning more. He's very special and incredibly smart and intuitive. Poor Chaz was an owner-give-up to Richland County Animal Control in Olney, Illinois. He was intact, had heartworm, fleas, whipworm, tapeworms and roundworms. That was in October of 2017. He is now a super healthy, happy and sweet boy! Since being in our care, he has been neutered, treated for worms, fleas and heartworm, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact [email protected] for an adoption application. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. He is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
