About Nathaniel

Adoption Fee: $220.00
Chihuahua mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Nathaniel. This special boy was found dodging traffic in the middle of the street. He seemed very confused and disoriented. After he was brought to us, we learned he is completely blind! He must have been terrified in the middle of the street, not being able to see the cars coming at him. He is a 4yr old Chihuahua mix, weighing in full grown at 13lbs. Since he has been with us, we have learned he is the sweetest, most loving, happy boy. He does see shadows, and has immaculate hearing, so he get's around just fine after being somewhere for a short time. His only downfall is having a rough time with stairs. He is great with other dogs, great with kids, and doesn't mind cats (he's scared of kittens or active cats). He is fully house broken and will go in and out the dog door, but does need a little guidance finding the dog door to go back in. He is energetic, playful, and will even fetch as long as you don't throw it too far. This loyal boy will follow his humans like a sweet little shadow. Nathaniel would do best in a home where there are no stairs, no pool, and a secure yard. A family that is home most of the time would be nice, but not needed. This special guy has won all of our hearts over here at AZSDR and we hope he can win over a family to call his own! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, vet checked, comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $200. To meet this special guy, contact his foster dad Ed at 630-479-7624
