About Oakley

Oakley is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Oakley is currently fostered in Hudson, FL (Pasco County). Oakley is a 1.5-2 year old Australian cattle dog mix. He is a high energy dog of 42 lbs who is very submissive with people and as a typical heeler, does show the potential to want to guard his chosen person from other dogs, so he will need a savvy person who does not allow this. He shows interest in toys but no real drive yet. He walks nicely on leash overall and just needs some fine tuning. He loves to cuddle, chew and work for treats. He is very athletic and can jump high. Overall he is a very nice dog with a lot of potential and just needs some training and consistency. He is neutered and has an appointment on 3/12 to get him microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. He is heartworm negative and up-to-date on preventives.
