About Nala

PLEASE HELP!!! Nala needs a forever home. She has been taken from a home where she was severely neglected. She has lived the last year of her short 2 yr. old life in a cage, through no fault of her own. Nala was bred in Lansing Michigan by a breeder who sold her to a woman who is battling cancer, and had to give her up. The family that bought her promised to love and care for her, instead they locked her in a cage for up to 23 hours per day. In spite of all of this she is loving, energetic, and extremely smart. She was initially afraid of cars, but is learning that riding in them can be fun. She is now 20 months old, and AKC registered. Thankfully she is with a foster who is responsible for getting her out of a MISERABLE situation. As her foster Mom tells it, ' Nala is an awesome dog. She gets along very well with my other two dog, and my two teenage girls'. Nala needs to go to a home with someone who is home all or at least part of the day. She needs to be with someone who will challenge her intellect in some fun and constructive ways. She would be an ideal dog for an active retired couple who has experience with the breed. Lastly, Nala is the most beautiful German Shepherd I have ever seen. Even though she has been is a kennel so long, her confirmation is perfect.
