About Sweetie

Adoption Fee: $395
Pointer / Catahoula
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Sweetie is a 2 year old Mutt. We believe she is a Pointer/Catahoula mix, but we are not too sure. As you may have guessed from her name, Sweetie is the sweetest girl ever. She gave birth to 9 beautiful babies a few months back. She did a great job raising her babies, then the night before transport to to CO sweetie got out of the back yard at her foster home. For 3-4 weeks we searched for her until finally someone found her and brought her back to the TX shelter. We were SO relieved!!! Well, Sweetie finally made her to CO last weekend and is ready to find her forever home. Sweetie LOVES kids and dogs. A home with kids or dogs would be so perfect for her. She did love the cats in her last foster home, but loves them a little too much here in CO, so a home without kitties would be best. She would be such a perfect adventure buddy for someone, or the perfect best friend for someone who has a dog who loves to play. She is truly the best. The only catch is, since Sweetie is SO smart she can escape back yards pretty easily. It's a very easy fix as long as she is either tethered, or accompanied outside. We believe once she finally knows where her home is that this behavior will stop. Poor girl has been shuffled around so much she doesn't know which way is up. She is now in a foster home with kids and dogs and is LOVING it. She even goes to the school events with the kids and loves to play with them all.
