About Holly

Holly came to me at the post office one cold night in December when I went to check my mail. She was whining and circling my car. When I opened the door she stepped up, laid her head on my lap and began whining. You couldn't see her eyes from the hair and the rest of her coat was somewhat matted. My heart just aches for her so I told her to hop in, which she did immediately. She did not have a collar so I had no way at that time to contact her owner. Three weeks after posting flyers, checking on line and with vet offices and having her checked for a chip (none), no one has come forward to claim her. I have had her groomed and vaccinated. Due to health reasons I cannot keep her and need to find her a forever home. She loves everyone, is very sweet, paper-trained and for the most part is house-trained. She is good on a leash, extremely intelligent and has a funny personality. She is excellent in the car but does have a little separation anxiety which I feel after observation comes from her abandonment. The vet and I both feel she is about 2 years old and she is in good condition. She prefers her bed to the furniture. So far she is good with socializing with other dogs but wants to chase cats, rabbits and squirrels. She is an awesome little girl and needs someone that can give her the love and attention she deserves.
