About Melanie

Melanie is the most amazing cat with the most amazing story ~ Melanie was found in a field, paralyzed from the waist down, caring for her two little babies. We took this little family in and gave them our all, helping Melanie recover from her injury (although we aren't entirely sure what caused her injury in the first place). With proper care and a strict physical therapy routine, Melanie has regained the use of her legs. Today she walks, runs, jumps, climbs, you name it! She uses the litter box without issue, too. She does have a bit of a wobble in her walk and her legs go a little stiff when she runs, but it doesn't slow her down at all! Melanie has been given a clean bill of health and we can only presume she will get stronger and stronger as time goes on. Melanie is very friendly and loves attention. She's not a fan of being held for long periods of time, but she will allow you to hold her and will seek our affection from you. Melanie is a true joy and she's ready and waiting for her new forever home.
