Little McNeil is another great little poster child for what should never happen to a dog, especially one like this. He has a great personality and loves everyone, which is why he may have been a stray boy in California. He was at a municipal shelter in California on the list of those who will not make it unless a caring group like TRACS steps up to take him. he had been hit by a car and had enough damage that the owners did not come and get him or never found him, hard to say. But he has several structural fractures in his left rear leg and some damage to her femur bone joint. The veterinarian says that this injury has to be fixed by a fairly extensive surgery or by the possible removal of his leg. The vet suggests we get a second opinion from an Orthopedic Specialist, which is our next move. In the interim, we want to go ahead and adopt him out to a quiet home where he can get the rest he needs and some well deserved TLC. When the 2 vets figure out what is the appropriate move to make on this leg, TRACS will pay for the surgery to correct the problem. If you have a quiet and caring household and would like to help out this very cute little 1 year old Lhasa boy, do let us know. His $250 adoption fee will include the price of his surgery.
