About Brutus

Meet Brutus! Brutus (brown and white) and his brother, Beau, came to AHS after they first lost their mom (a few years ago) and sadly lost their dad late last year. These boys are litter mates and have been with each other the entire lives. They are around 6 or 7 years old and are boxer boys. Brutus is a bit more reserved and cautious than his brother. It takes Brutus a little longer to warm up to new people and he is picky on who he lets into his heart. However, once those walls are down he is a mushy lovebug. Brutus does have food guarding issues which we are working on. They previously lived with a cat and did well. They are unsure of other dogs and we are working with them on this. Both boys can be possessive over rawhide type treats. They need to be given these types of treats and fed separately. They both love fluffy beds. If it is a flat bed they will snub it, they are all about the fluff :) Brutus is house and crate trained, neutered and up to date. We want Beau and Brutus to go home together. They are not necessarily bonded but they do appreciate each others company. Plus they have been together this long, we would like them to stay together. We are not willing to separate them.
