About Lacey

Adoption Fee: $100
Boxer mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Lacey is a 5 1/2 year old gentle boxer mix who was owner discarded at Animal Control, a place that is time limited for dogs in which there is no interest shown by visitors nor by rescue organizations. Her body had scabbed abrasions and hairless spots that do not appear able to regenerate hair. Though her muzzle is turning white, it is not an indication of senior status. With her euthanasia date at hand Lacey was out of time and desperately needed rescue. So Lacey has joined our residents in what we hope will be a short wait for happiness to find her. Due to renovations and a shortage of kennels, Lacey is temporarily in an offsite home. She is scheduled for thorough vetting and spay surgery. She is reported to be kind to the other dogs and cats in her temporary lodging. She is content to settle into the couch with her head on a welcoming knee. Very affectionate and will move throughout the house with her people in order to stay close to them. Loves to go for an energetic walk and does not pull at the leash, so content to be with companions sharing the moment alongside them. She is grateful for the comfort of being indoors and receiving affection. She is housebroken. She does not jump on people making her a safe companion for everyone from the very small and to those older who may not be so steady on their feet. She is a very quiet girl and only barks when someone is at the door. Lacey is heart worm negative and is now spayed. If wishing to meet Lacey, call the office to ensure she is there or can be brought to the shelter. 706-865-4135 Adoption fee $100. Arrival date Feb 21, 2018. . Video in Comments.
