Rodger is an 11 week old Australian cattle dog mix puppy who is looking for his forever family. Rodger story has a sad beginning, but he is focused on his happily ever after. Rodger came to us when we received a call that someone had found a large, young puppy with a badly injured eye. One of our awesome volunteers went to pick Rodger up, and ended up fostering Rodger during his time with us. Rodger was seen at our vet first thing the next morning, and our vet said his eye was probably injured for 3 or more days before he was saved. Rodger went straight in for surgery to repair the injury, and the rest is history! His eye has healed up amazingly in his foster home and he is ready to find his forever family now. Rodger is a large puppy who already weighs in around 20 pounds at less than 3 month old. Being a large puppy, Rodger would benefit greatly from obedience training as he grows up into a gentleman. Rodger understands to use a doggy door, but still has accidents inside and will need steady house training. Rodger does not like to be alone, so he would do best with another dog in the home and a family member who is home often. Rodger is still a growing boy with lots of energy, so he needs lots of toys to keep him occupied. Rodger loves squeaky toys, rope toys, and will chew on just about anything else in his path. Rodger will need a very patient home who understands he is still growing, learning, and adjusting to a life not on the streets. Rodger will make a very loving and loyal companion to a family who gives him the time, training, and patience he needs. Rodger will need a home with a yard, NO apartments due to his size and energy please. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, vet checked, comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit also. His adoption fee is $325.
