Addison (roughly 8-10 years old as of March, 2018) is a spayed female black cat. Addison was found wandering a soccer field in Island Lake this winter. She was very thin and because she is front declawed we think she may have been outside for a few weeks struggling to find food and defend herself, but unfortunately no one had reported her missing or responded to found cat reports. Since she's been in foster care she's gotten back up to a respectable weight and is settling in as best she can despite being a little nervous around the large family dog and getting picked on by some of the other cats. Perhaps because she is declawed and on the petite side she is more insecure around other animals and we think she'd really prefer to be an only cat or to live with just one or two other really calm senior kitties who would be happy to give her some space (and her own litterbox!) She isn't really comfortable with being picked up and held for long periods of time but she volunteers to come sit in laps and is very affectionate giving her foster family kisses and head rubs. In a nice quiet home this little girl still has a lot more love to offer! NO ADOPTION FEE DURING CLEAR THE SHELTER WEEK AUG 11-18 for cats over 6 mo old
