About Joey

This handsome little boy is Joey, a 5 year old Apple-Head Chihuahua who weighs 8 pounds. Joey came to us with a number of other dogs from a breeder who was not going to use them for breeding any longer. Joey is heartworm negative and microchipped. He loves to follow his foster family around the house and loves attention. It appears he is housebroken too. He is still getting used to being picked up and held, as this is something new to him. But once you have won his heart, he is very happy to be your lap baby! He likes to sleep in bed with his foster mom, but does not like going under the covers. He gets along with other dogs, and was not bothered by the cats at his recent trip to the vet's office. Due to his small size, we do not recommend a home with small children. He has not been tested with older kids, but we think he would be fine. If you'd like to make sweet Joey a member of your family, please submit an application. He's got his bags packed and is waiting for his forever family.
