About Cockatiel

Pet Bird
Sex: Female

My bird here was rescued from out of town with an undetermined home back in the summer of 2014. I had taken her in and cared for her for the past 3 years. She is a sweet bird, just a bit shy around people. I have been trying to tame her, however with the presence of my other pet birds, it had been difficult, so I never was able to. The issue is here, my other pair of cocktails, who area couple, reject her around them. Now she does not have anyone to befriend as she is afraid of people, and the other birds don't accept her. She would really want to be a mother as well, I see her trying to make a nest, but then being chased away by the other birds. The other issue that has come up, is that I am a college student that has been having trouble trying to keep up with taking care of all of my birds, so spending time with her individually is difficult. I just wish so badly I could find her a new home that will accept her, love her, and befriend her. Personalities: She is generally quiet, except when she is nervous or upset, she will scream that usual cockatiel scream. Another concern I have for her, is that she has been pulling out her own feathers, I believe due to stress. After time, patience, and effort, I got her to feel comfortable enough to eat from my hand, however that can change if that practice is not kept up.
