About Cole

We can't think of a better buddy than Cole! This smart boy who is food oriented and very trainable, is so happy to follow his person around and watch what they are doing. Cole has a calm demeanor with other dogs and with new people. Cole is such a sweet boy. He gets a glint in his eye when it's time for a walk, as if to say ''Let's go, I can't wait!' He turns back to check on his walker as he goes along the trail. He seems to like the sound of a voice behind him. He loves to play with his toys and enjoys a good game of tug of war. But Cole has a quiet, laid back and gentle side to his personality as well. At day's end he's content to have a belly rub and just hang out and he might steal a kiss to say thanks for a good day (and the cookie). He LOVES peanut butter and will very gently lick any remnants off your hands. To give him a change of scenery, Cole enjoyed a 'day out' recently with one of our volunteers: 'Cole took right away to being in a house. He followed me around and laid at my feet when I was stationary. I was afraid of him marking all over the house since multiple dogs and cats have lived here, but there was none of that! He let me know when he needed to go out by standing at the sliding glass door and never once did he try to get on the furniture! We had a great afternoon together!' Cole is great with canine friends, but is just a little TOO interested in cats. He has made a good impression on everyone he has met and will make a loyal loving companion for some lucky person.
