My Story PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US WITHOUT FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION. ***Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com*** IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE AN APPLICATION, WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOUR EMAIL. Lulubell 5 year old female poodle mix 19.6 lbs. The past history of the sweetest, most loyal little lady of Lulubell is beyond sad. We saw the story of Lulubell on the shelter website which included information that this sweet lady had a mass the size of a grapefruit on her belly. We asked the shelter if anyone was coming to get her and they said no. They asked us to please help her ASAP because she has the gentlest soul to which we replied 'of course, you bet we will.' We got Lulubell out of the shelter and to our vet where several things needed to happen. She was a horrific, matted to the skin, stinking mess. The mats were so bad they were pulling at her tortured skin. She needed the grapefruit size mass removed and to be checked for further mammary masses. She also needed to be spayed and her teeth were an absolute mess. The neglect on this baby doll was despicable. We got Lulubell all the medical she needed. The mass was removed and another mamory mass was found while she was under. It was removed, tested, and they both came back benign. To get the masses removed Lulubell had to be cut the full length of her belly. She also had to have 8 teeth removed. It was also discovered that there was a black tiny little mass on Lulubell's nipples, and to be on the safe side the nipple was removed. The love and gentleness of Lulubell is so difficult to put into words. She is 5 years old, weighs 19.6 lbs, and oh so loyal - such a sweet loving soul. She loves people like you would never believe; she is also loving to dogs and kind with respectful children. She spent a lot of time in her foster home with the foster mums 12 year old granddaughter. Lulubell will absolutely need to go to a forever home with dogs present in the home. This is mandatory. Her people must be home during the day as she loves to be loved. Lulubell, like all of our rescues, will need a forever home who will work with her on potty training. Now Lulubell is spayed, chipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & just had a major dental. To be considered to be my new family you must meet all the requirements listed above an an application must be submitted at aberdeenstr.com for me. My rescue cannot respond to every application as they are working extremely hard to find myself and all my other dog friends that are rescued their loving forever homes too. Lulubell has an adoption fee of $675 __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life. This truly is a life and death matter for these precious souls. Thank you for your understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Adoption Process All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com. Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 recognized charity. Our volunteers dedicate all their free hours to finding the best loving home for each of our dogs.
