About Rico

Located in Bridgeport, CT: Sweet Mina (Right) and soulful eyed Rico (Left)are searching for their forever home together. I flew this mother-son duo back to CT myself almost a year ago! They come to CT from the rainforest of Puerto Rico where Rico sat next to his Momma's (Mina) side for days while she laid roadside covered by mud and brush with a broken pelvis and shattered front leg. Rico was only 4 months old and Mina barely a year old. Almost a year later, healthy and all grown up, it seems everyone has forgotten about their story and they still find themselves without their happy ending. These pups are special. I know you may hear that about a lot of dogs, but these two really are. Mina loves everyone and everything. Despite being possibly hit by a car and passed by for days, she forgives all humans. Despite the bite marks on her skinny emaciated body, she loves other dogs. She even loves cats too. Rico is the sweetest, kindest soul I have ever come upon trapped in a little 20lb doggy body. He is shy, but once you earn his love you feel like you can conquer the world. He loves with all he has and he is the best cuddler you can ask for.
