About Sally Mae

s. Sally Mae is a 2-3yr old wire haired terrier sweetie around 31lbs. She is a little on the shy side but warms up quickly with a few kind words and gentle touch. Once she's your friend, she's your friend for life! Sally loves to snuggle and cuddle, sometimes she just can't get close enough! She's a very affectionate girl. Sally takes any opportunity she can to sit in your lap. She is very curious with an inquisitive nature. She can be timid and a little nervous in new environments but once she knows she's safe, Sally loves to explore and investigate new things. Sally is past the puppy stages but will still need some supervision as sometimes that stray shoe on the floor is just too tempting. But those moments are few and far between, she's been doing very well in her foster home! Sally can be a bit of a diva and would benefit from an experienced dog owner who can provide structure and consistency with training. Sally has done well with most dogs she meets and prefers to be the leader of the pack. She seems to do best with female dogs. De-stuffing and squeaking toys are a couple of her favorite pastimes. She also really loves to chase tennis balls. She is a young adult with lots of bounce in her step. She enjoys running zoomies in the yard but can also settle down to enjoy a good nap with friends. She does well in the crate and is doing fantastic with house training. She's also working on her leash skills, she gets very excited and is learning not to pull so much. Sally is also learning not to jump up on people when she gets excited and will need continued training to reinforce good behaviors. Sally would do best in a suburban or country setting, busy streets, traffic and loud noises make her nervous. She would also do best in a home without cats. A single person or family with older children would be a great match for sweet Sally. Sally Mae is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
