About Guinness

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Are you looking for a fun, happy-go-lucky buddy to be your devoted companion? Don't let my goofy pouty face fool you: I'm Guinness, a unique Bulldog mix, and it's your lucky day because I'm looking for a forever home through Fetching Tails Foundation! I was found locally as a stray, and my human friends at FTF saved me when no one came looking for me and my time was up at animal control. I am about a year and a half old and a pretty fine looking fellow, if you ask me. I look like an abstract painting: I am like a white canvas speckled with black paint. I also have a big black spot of fur on my face that helps highlight my gorgeous brown eyes. I am just under 40 pounds, but need to gain a few more to be at my ideal weight of 50 pounds. My foster mom is feeding me delicious, high-quality food so I am sure I will get there in time! My foster mom says I am a very go-with-the-flow kind of dog. I enjoy playing with other dogs, but would be content being your one-and-only companion as well if you have some fun toys for me to play with. If you are looking for a walking buddy, I could be the guy for you as well! I love exploring the neighborhood with my foster mommy and 'auntie' who comes to take me on adventures every day. I'm affectionate with all people I've met so far (including kids!) so more than anything, I would like my forever person to be a big fan of cuddling. I have become my foster mom's shadow and love to be near her whenever possible. A soon-to-be 50-pound Bulldog might not be what you typically think of as a 'lap dog,' but trust me, I can make myself fit if you'll let me! I'm a very well-behaved boy, too. I am house trained and am fine when left home alone while foster mom goes to work. I am working on basic commands, too! I've learned 'sit' and am now working on 'off.' I can be a bit goofy like an overgrown puppy and training is totally new to me, but I'm really enjoying seeing how many commands I can master. I think it would be so much fun to take some classes with my forever family so we can see how much we can learn together! Do training classes have an honor roll?
