About Amarilla

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. If you're looking for an adorable, sweet, fun, soft and loving tiny puppy, then you found me! My name is Amarilla and I'm the sweetest puppy in town. My foster mom also calls me mighty mouse because although I am adorably tiny at 4 lbs, I am also so playful and fun. I can run and bounce really fast, but I'll stick close to you and I won't get in trouble. I love napping and will nap in your lap or in my soft puppy bed - whatever you want. I'm super quiet and don't even bark or cry, I just make a cute little oinking noise rarely, when I want to tell you something. And did I tell you that I sleep quietly through the night - a huge bonus because you'll want me in your bed since I'm so sweet and cuddly. I really want to love you and to be loved, so I hope I get adopted by a family who wants to spend time with me, and I could even get adopted by a family with another dog - I play well with my 20 lb. foster sibling and I'm not afraid, but she is very sweet to me. My cute sisters Oso (black), Amiga (chocolate brown) and Fresa (brown & white) are also up for adoption too, in case I get adopted quickly, go check them out too! Amarilla is a Female Chiweenie (Chihuahua/dachshund mix) that we estimate to be born around 11/16/2017. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
