About Daisy Sour Cream

Adoption Fee: $200
Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Daisy is a wonderful lil lass who just turned 5. She was purchased as a pure bred pit - but as a pet it never has mattered to us. We love her and are doing what is right for her and our home is not it. We are not equipped to be a multiple dog household with her dog aggression. She is a cuddler with her humans and wants to be under the covers and snuggle. She wants to lay on your lap and cuddle. She is good in crate, on cushion as well. But loves to cuddle. She is most content when her human is within touch distance or at least sight. She will need Vaccines next month. She doesn't like being left outside - it scares her due to some dogs in our neighborhood that were predatory when she was young She is potty trained, house trained, tie out familiar( just for potty times. She is not a fan of car rides unless she can be touching you. She gets very scared and shaky - this may change with additional training exposure. She likes to eat within eye shot of her humans. So her issues with other dogs is why we are rehoming - I am disabled and he is at work most days - we cannot trust her anymore with the other animals and I cannot manage her by myself. At present health I can barely use my arms to type a lil. I am recovering from cancer treatments and have multiple other disabling conditions. Not fair for her to be tied out, crated, or alone cause of my short comings. Her draw back is she is just plain bitchy. She begs to be with our other dog and then bitches and nags them to death - My guy says she is like his ex wife. - She wants to groom them, tell them when to lay down and where, where and when they can eat, when to move and where, when to leave that speck of dust alone -no no non no not THAT spec - but THAT one you cannot see. And while not often - she sometimes will just jump on our male for no reason. Both are fixed and are generally inseparable. But at this point they are a danger to each other. She just needs to be an only dog with her people. She has been good with our Grandbabies till now but I would say I would not introduce her to any children without a full behavior check and extra training. For this reason she will not be placed in a home with children under 13. She is not an outdoor dog - she cannot handle heat or cold. She is not to be used for anything other than a loved member of her new family. The Re homing fee would be sent to https://www.hatsalive.org We are rehoming only because of my health and ability to manage her special issues.
