About Petunia

Adoption Fee: $295
Beagle mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Petunia!! Beagle Mix Approx. 1 yr old Approx. 18 lbs. Petunia is as pretty as her name! She's a tall and thin beagle (she could gain a couple more pounds and be a happy girl)! She's got the most beautiful freckled markings on her chest and legs. Petunia arrived at our partner shelter in TN thin as a rail with her ribs and hip bones sticking out. She has since traveled to IL, gained some weight, gotten used to the snow (it's not her favorite), and learned what TOYS are!! Petunia LOVES a good squeaky toy!! She will squeak to her hearts content if you let her! Being a pup still (and probably having minimal training) she does need to be watched in the house, because she will find things that she thinks would make great toys, but you may not agree. She is very good with correction though! Petunia gets along great with her sister foster dogs (all 4 of them) and especially loves to play with her other beagle foster sister. They will run and rough house all night until they're ready to pass out! Petunia would love to have a partner in crime in her new home too. Petunia loves to go on walks and does great on her harness and leash. She would love a secure fenced in yard (as Beagles are runners!!!) She is crate trained and house broken. Petunia is super playful and has plenty of energy all packed in a great size cute package! She will make a wonderful family companion! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
