York is a handsome dachshund mix boy, who is 3/4 dachshund and 1/4 Beagle and full of love to give to give to a family! York weighs 19 pounds and is 8 years old with beautiful amber eyes. Handsome York is house trained and crate trained, but will bark if he if left in the crate for extended periods. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important. He is a smart, happy, well behaved boy. York loves to sleep in the big bed and would very much like a home that would let him have big bed privileges. York will sleep in his own bed, but he so much rather be with you! York gets along well with other dogs, children of all ages, and kitties too! York is very well trained and well mannered off and on a leash. In his former home York went hiking in the mountains often and loves to go for a car ride. York is even a seasoned flyer!
