About Squeaks

WE ARE SEEKING A HEELER-EXPERIENCED ADOPTER FOR SQUEAKS. Squeaks is fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Squeaks is now 4 months old and 17 lbs. Her tail is a natural bob. She is an old soul in a pup's body. She watches and waits, then makes her moves. She is independent and not cuddly - an incredibly smart dog, very biddable. She gets along with all dogs and will need another dog in her forever home as well as a fenced yard at a bare minimum. Her inclination is to play rough (as a cattle dog is wont to do) and is learning to match other play styles. Dog parks are a no-no. Squeaks needs a job, whether it be ranch work or performance. She loves the water. She is not a backyard ornament and two walks per day will not suffice. Calm and calculating, she has no fear but is NOT over the top. Trained to basic commands, shows interest in livestock, swims and has toy drive. She has the potential to do just about anything. We just want to make sure she is not sitting idle. She is housebroken and crate trained, and does not have bad barking or chewing habits. She is ready to move forward into the world. She needs an active person or people that will take control, set boundaries and treat her as a partner in their endeavors. Obedience, dock diving and disc are all within her grasp. Squeaks will go home on a spay contract - when she is spayed at 6 months of age and proof is submitted, $50 of her adoption donation can be refunded.
