About Lady

Lady Deserves Her Forever Home Senior, female, German Shepherd Good with other dogs: yes Good with children: No Good with cats: No Lady was in pretty bad shape when our foster picked this 9-10 year old gal up from the county shelter. Her toenails were way too long for her to walk, her back muscles were pretty much atrophied and she was scared and in pain. But Lady has come a long way and we want nothing more than this girl to have her forever, loving home. She deserves it after likely being left in a backyard and discarded. She's come a long way since curling up in the corner of her foster's bedroom where she where would wait for her food and water and had to be helped up to go outside to potty. Fast forward to today. Now Lady thinks she rules the roost and this girl deserves to! She can run, a bit wobbly, after the other dogs. She stands to eat now. And best of all, she comes to her foster all the time for pets and love. She sleeps next to her chair in the office when she's working and enjoys hanging out on the patio. She can even sit for treats now! Her foster says she is good with other dogs, but small dogs will take a little while longer since she first views them as prey. But after a while, she learns they're friends not food. She has come a long way from where she was. She is still building strength, so can't really go for walks, but if you're looking for loving, low-maintenance friend, Lady is your gal. Help us find Lady her happily ever after.
