About Tilly

German Shorthaired Pointer
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Tilly was either abandoned or found her way to a church in Dahlonega during bitter cold weather in December. She was in misery from a severe long standing ear infection and also had multiple mammary masses that were found to be benign tumors when removed at the time of her spaying. She had been on medical hold for 2 months while undergoing ear treatments in addition to recovery from her surgery. Tilly continues to receive veterinary administered treatment to her ear as of Feb 21. The possibility exists that her adopter will need to continue this treatment therefore must have the resources and commitment to her medical needs. Tilly is affectionate with everyone she meets and if permitted she would happily park her 54 pound butt in a welcoming lap. Tilly is a 4 year old German Shorthair Pointer. She is child, cat and dog friendly. She will jump on people which can be remedied with gentle training. She has a loving heart and we seek someone who will return the love and keep her safe. Application can be submitted online at our website: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption policies/application procedures are detailed under All Adoptable Animals. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home suitable for their needs and committed to their care and safety. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. Adopters who are not within the local area of the shelter MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. Meeting approved adopters is one of the final steps in the adoption process. We do not permit transport or shipping of our residents without the adopter. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Resident animals are owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The shelter is not permitted by GA law to accept strays. The facility is usually operating at capacity with a list of animals approved for intake waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Closed Mondays Location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571, Phone: 706-865-4135 Email: [email protected] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/smithgallhumanesociety/ Charles Smithgall Humane Society is located in the mountains of NE GA, 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen.
