About Parker in Denton, TX

Parker is a handsome rough coat male Jack Russell Terrier. He is 2 years old and has all vet work done. He's frisky!!! This little guy is a happy ball of energy. He wants to do everything you do. Being in the middle of everything is what he lives for. He is adorable, but don't let that cute little face fool you. Like most JRTs, he is prey driven and will kill birds, bunnies, snakes, squirrels, gophers, moles, etc. If you cant handle that....or a little digging...a JRT is not the dog for you! He needs an owner with Jack Russell experience. If you have never had a Jack Russell before, this is not the dog for you. If you are gone from home all day long, this is not the dog for you. Parker is adorable, but he is all Jack!!! He needs exercise and attention. He also needs a tall fence...no chain link or anything electronic. This is the type of dog that will run and run and play, play, play all day. At night when it is time to relax and snuggle he will be right beside you. And, he will want to sleep with you too!!! Dogs like this need to be the center of your life. This precious boy has so many great attributes such as he is crate trained and lovely sleeper from 10:00pm to 7:00am in crate, eats in crate, does not beg for people food and lays down nicely while his family is eating, a great TV watching buddy/teddy bear after 8:00pm or so, not a major water gulper but adores falling ice chips from fill-ups at the freezer, absolutely knows his name is Parker and knows Sit, Down, working on Stay, has unreal nose and ears so tracks and stalks like the very best hunter! Parker needs some work on leash training and recall, along with not being so enthralled with anything flying or crawling. Parker requires a home with no kids, no cats and no male dogs. Also, no apartments. His adopter must be willing to drive to the Denton, Texas area to get him. A home visit and good vet reference are mandatory to adopt him. His adoption fee is $200.
