About Flacco

Adoption Fee: $395
Dachshund
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Flacco is a 2 year old, 15lb, purebred Dachshund. Flacco has been through a lot in his little life, and we feel so lucky to be able to give him that second chance he so deserves. Flacco was dumped at a shelter in New Mexico after being in a hoarding situation. He then sat in the shelter for over a month since it was in a rural town where the shelters get almost zero foot traffic. Flacco finally got his golden ticket to Colorado where we were able to find him a forever home. Little Flacco was so beyond happy to finally have a forever family that he wanted them all to himself. He go along great with the other dog and people during playing time and park time etc. but he did not wanna share his new Momma's lap. Unfortunately he didn't understand that protecting what was finally his was going to get him put back into the rescue system. We decided that the next time Flacco goes to a forever home it has to be the best home. We wanted to set him up to succeed in his true forever home so we got him into a wonderful, intensive board and train program. Flacco has officially finished the board and train program and is ready to find his forever person. You can see in his eyes how badly he just wants a person of his own and has worked so hard at training to get that person. We would like his new companion to continue his training which his adoption includes. We payed for the board and train and that comes with a life long support system from one of the best trainers in CO. He is truly such a good, sweet boy and as long as his training continues he will make someone the happiest person ever...I mean look at that face!!! He is a goofy dog and loves to play with the dogs in his play groups. It's his favorite time. Everybody falls in love with him the second they meet him.
